Filled With God

God is longing for us to know that there is so much more that we can have from His fullness than we have ever experienced before. Because nothing happens on its own, but things are made to happen, we must now more than ever stir up dissatisfaction in our hearts and generate fervent hunger for more of God, for more of His anointing, for more of His power and His presence in every way.

Far too many Christians are satisfied with very little and are not hungering for God’s best. Many others have no idea that they can have more, much more.

May God open our eyes and not let us stop until we have God’s best, nothing less than a flood. Let our heart’s cry be for us to receive the flood of God’s presence and His Spirit. To desire for anything less, it would that we have backslidden.

Oh, for God to touch our hearts, our minds our desire for Him, for more. This must be our fervent prayer in order for us to pursue His plan for our lives. The Christian victorious living must have a continuous increasing desire with no slowing down. To backslide is not only to go back to a sinful lifestyle, but also, that our heart is marked by the spirit of apathy, indifference, and a loss of hunger for God.

Too many are living in the lowlands of salvation when God wants us to explore the mountaintops of the adventures of faith. God wants us to experience “joy unspeakable and full of glory” (I Peter 1:8), in order for us to have the power and the anointing that can lift us above any circumstances of life.

We must challenge our selves and others to desire to have nothing less than everything be filled small filled-with-godHe has for us, which is “filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19). We must have our spirit awakened. The Word of God is not alive until it is moved upon by the Spirit Himself. There is a preaching of the Word of God that brings the light of heavens’ glory into the hearts of men, and it is being preached all around the world by men, anointed by God Himself. Alas, however, this great teaching that reveals the heart of God is just “knowledge that puffs up” in the minds of those whose hearts and spirits have fallen into slumber.

Who we are and what is ours now in Christ desperately needs to be preached from the housetops, but many Christians with fleshly, carnal minds cannot begin to see it, let alone appreciate it, or grasp it.

The only solution to this is that the Holy Spirit must awaken our spirits, and He can only do this as our spiritual hunger increases causing us to earnestly seek God in the Word and in prayer! Then and only then, our awakened spirit will lay hold of all the “exceeding great and precious promises” (II Peter 1:4), that will bring us into the awareness of the power and authority that we actually have in Him; and thus we begin to live accordingly. Knowing that God has called His people to live in the place of authority and absolute dominion in this life! He has called us to “reign with Him” (II Timothy 2:12).
We know that as we become one with Him, His power becomes our power over all the works of the enemy.

Sadly, far too many live under the power of the enemy, under sickness, poverty, lack, bondage, failure; but “these things ought not to be so” (James 3:1). We must never settle for anything less than complete victory. It is one thing to be going through a trial fighting; but it is completely another to have accepted and having resigned yourself to it. You must arise and fight and reign with Him as you are filled with God.

Never be satisfied with less that you came to get from Him. Have in you a tenacity of faith to refuse to be satisfied with anything less than God’s best!! This is called the faith that pleases God. This is the faith that the woman with the issue of blood had in Mark Chapter 5, who having overwhelming odds against her, did not quit until she got what she came for. This is the tenacity of Jacob’s faith, wrestling with God all night long that cried out “I will not let You go unless You bless me” (Genesis 32:24-26).

My prayer and the cry of my heart today is, that we let God create in us that kind of hunger in us; a desire so strong that we will not quit until we are fully enveloped and saturated with His glorious presence. Then He can build this glorious kind of faith in us, this radical, unrelenting, uncompromising, never retreating faith. Only the remnant, His “end-time army” will get there and reap the great end time harvest. Only the remnant will become flames of fire, being consumed and possessed by the Spirit of God.

Brethren, let us hunger and thirst for it, let us have the vision of this high standard before us to radically change our life and drive us deeper into God. Let us long to be “flames of fire”, ever burning, heeding the call and take up the challenge. Let us go all the way with God! If not us, then who? If not now; then when? This age is about to close and the Father is looking for those that He can use to bring in the great end-time harvest.

This is not for the faint hearted or for carnal babes, or lukewarm believers. This is for serious believers who long to reach their maximum potential in Christ. A great battle is raging against the forces of darkness that are even now coming against God’s people. But there is a great victory on the horizon, for us to be won. We have heard the call, let us then accept the challenge; be filled with God, and God will make us “flames of fire” in the ranks of His end-time army.

Let us become ablaze with great passion for our great King, our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

Amen
